Hey there! I’m Dr. Rebecca Day, your friendly pediatric dentist in Baton Rouge and Addis, Louisiana.
I’m a dentist, mother, wife, daughter – and a proud native of Baton Rouge. I come from an amazing family of dentists: my dad is a general dentist in Baton Rouge and my great grandpa was a dentist in Baton Rouge too!
Creating sunny smiles and providing high-quality dental care is second nature to me.
I was born and raised in the vibrant city of Baton Rouge! I went to St. Aloysius School and St. Joseph’s Academy, then attended Louisiana State University to earn my Biological Sciences Degree with minors in sociology and chemistry.
From there, I was sure of my path to becoming a dentist and guiding little ones to achieve beautiful smiles – which brought me to New Orleans at LSU School of Dentistry to earn my DDS degree.
While earning my degree, I was awarded membership to the C. Edmund Kells Honor Society and the Theta Kappa Chapter of Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society!
I completed my 1-year General Practice Residency at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx, New York, then went on to complete my 2-year Pediatric Dental Residency from Mount Sinai Hospital in Harlem, New York.
In my final year of Pediatric Dental Residency, I served as Chief Resident!
Dr. Day is a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She is active in the Greater Baton Rouge Dental Association, Louisiana Dental Association.
Dr. Day is committed to providing the best possible care for her patients. She stays up-to-date on the latest dental techniques through continuing education.
Dr. Day loves our community! She has participated in several philanthropic duties including a dental mission trip to the Dominican Republic, a Dental Head Start Program in the Bronx, Give Kids a Smile Day and participates in the Mission of Mercy in Baton Rouge annually.
When I’m not at Sunny Day creating happy, healthy smiles, you’ll usually find me with my crew: my husband Patrick and our three girls, Haley, Eva, and Penny. Life at our house is a little wild (in the best way!) with chickens, goats, dogs, and a cat all in the mix.
We love being outdoors, whether that’s soaking up time together at our camp in Bay St. Louis or out on the boat enjoying the water. And on the rare quiet moments, I’m usually reading, exercising, cooking, or trying to keep up with the chaos at home!
Family is everything to me, and that same heart carries into our office every day!
